Multiple IntelligencesGardner's theory of multiple intelligence is based upon the belief that different forms of intelligences exists for individuals. These intelligences are known as linguistic, musical, logical-mathematical, spatial, body-kinestethic, intrapersonal, and interpersonal. Each type of intelligence learns more quickly when their particular intelligence is addressed.Using multiple intelligence strategies within my classroom, I have been able to reach students of all learning levels. A great example of multiple intelligence activity would be a hypermedia presentation. This type of collaborative activity allows students to use their preferred intelligence while also providing opportunity to develop weaker intelligences. For more information on multiple intelligences, please visit the following websites.Multiple Intelligences TheoryHoward Gardner's Homepage |
