Sleepy
Hollow Middle School, the only middle school in the Public Schools of the
Tarrytowns, currently serves a diverse group of 7th and 8th
grade students. We provide our students with a safe and nurturing
environment which is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of
academic excellence and student decorum. Every member of our faculty and
staff is committed to both the intellectual and social/emotional growth of
our students.
Beginning last year, Sleepy Hollow Middle School has begun an
exciting period of transition. A major construction/renovation project, a
new principal, and the future arrival of sixth grade students are all clear
indications of the changes which lie ahead. Although change is often quite
unsettling, this period of transition has offered us a unique educational
opportunity. We are working with all our stakeholders to capitalize upon
this opportunity by reinventing Sleepy Hollow Middle School. Using the
latest research and findings, our goal is to create an exemplary middle
school program which fosters the academic achievement and personal
development of all our students.
