Summer Reading and Assignments 2006:  Reading Lists for Grades K - 12 and a Message from Mr. Allen, SHMS/HS English Department Chair
Summer reading is an important, but often overlooked part of a student’s education.  Sometimes, unfortunately, the summer slips by and students find that they have read little or nothing because they were not encouraged to read anything.  To prevent this we are requiring that  middle school and high school students read three books this summer and write a “Record of Reading” for each book.  Please follow the link for your grade to view a letter explaining the requirements for your grade.  Reading lists and expectations for grades K - 6 are also listed below.
