  • Social emotional learning and well being are essential to overall student success.  It is the goal of the Tarrytown Union Free School District to promote healthy environments for all students and to respond to students/ needs.  A continued focus this year will be on Mindfulness.     SEL

    The process through which children and adults acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions,set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships,and make responsible decisions.

    (Collaborative for Academic, Social, Emotional Learning - (CASEL) Framework)

    The district will be using the CASEL framework to support the Social Emotional Learning of our students and staff.
