Environmental Safety and Abatement Status
- Is the abatement work still on schedule to be completed before the start of the school year?
- What is the projected end date for that abatement?
- What is the official "Plan B" if the abatement is not completed by September?
- Does any contingency plan include remote learning?
- If lead or asbestos contamination is discovered during the year, will classes be suspended?
- What are the criteria for closing the building, and how long would closure last?
- Will any abatement occur during the school year that is not communicated to parents?
- Have you determined what substance is coming out of the walls in Morse? Will you open up the walls to investigate? If so, when?

Testing, Monitoring, and Compliance
- In addition to required testing, does the district plan to conduct daily monitoring of the air quality in the occupied areas?
- Is the district going to pursue daily air quality testing in the areas that students and staff will occupy?
- Could those results be shared with parents? If there is reason for concern, we will make families aware.

- Will the partitions be fire-rated?
- Will the district provide HEPA filtration in the occupied areas throughout the school year?

- Is it possible to add temporary MERV 13 filtration on the existing school's system?
- Will construction be limited to certain times to reduce exposure and disruption?
- What time restrictions will be placed on demolition or high-dust activities during the school day?
- What decibel levels are expected inside classrooms?
- How often will decibel levels be tested? Will the school district be testing decibel levels inside the school?

- Has the district consulted experts or case studies on similar renovation projects with students in place?
- What conclusions were drawn about risks to children and staff?
- What other options were explored rather than having any children at Morse next year?
- Was one of those options reducing the optional Pre-K program for one year and moving the second graders to John Paulding?
- Did the district look into moving second graders to Saint Teresa's school?
- Could Morse students be split between other schools, such as JP and Tappan Hill, next year?
- Has the district explored the use of all available local community centers, houses of worship, and universities as potential alternative locations?
