    Dear TUFSD Families and Staff,

This afternoon, Governor Cuomo announced that he would be extending the mandatory closure of all New York State schools through April 14, 2020 and that he would reassess and potentially issue additional closures in 2 week blocks as required.

Due to the uncertainty of the spread of the virus,  and the importance of maintaining social distancing, we believe that the Governor’s decision is in the best interest of our students, staff, and community.  As a result of this decision, April 1, 2020 will now be a Virtual Superintendent’s Conference Day to assist in our planning and lesson development for this and any additional school closure extensions. On this day, students will have assignments to work on, but our faculty and staff will be unavailable as they will be participating in professional development workshops and group planning.  April 2 and 3, 2020 will be Learning from Home days and teachers will be available during their scheduled times.

The District will be closed for Spring Recess  from Monday, April 6th through Monday, April 13th. There will be no work assigned during the Spring Recess.  We will resume our Learning from Home instruction and activities on Tuesday, April 14, 2020.

We hope this will assist you and your families in planning for the coming weeks. We will remain flexible and creative as new information or mandates become available.

I hope you all get an opportunity to enjoy this sunny and beautiful day.  Stay safe and healthy!

    Sincerely,

    Chris Borsari
