Childcare for Health Care Workers & First Responders

  • Due to the Westchester County and New York State of Emergency, the Tarrytown Union Free School District is collecting information about the childcare needs for the children of essential health care workers and first responders who live in the TUFSD community. 

    Essential health care workers include licensed health professionals such as physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, LPNs, nurse assistants or laboratory personnel. First responders include paramedics, emergency medical technicians, firefighters. police officers, and other public safety personnel.

    Pending the availability of resources and the number of requests received, this childcare will be available for children ages 5 through 12, beginning early next week. Hours of coverage will be from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

    If you are a TUFSD parent/guardian of a child ages 5 through 12 and you are an essential health care worker or first responder as listed above and need childcare, please complete the survey below no later than Sunday, March 22nd at 9:00 PM:
