The TUFSD Board of Education commenced its search for the next Superintendent of Schools in November of 2022 upon learning of Superintendent Borsari’s intent to retire at the end of the 2022-23 school year. We are dedicated to working with and on behalf of our community to find an outstanding educational leader to serve as our next Superintendent beginning July 1, 2023.
On Friday, December 21, 2022, the Board issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a search firm. The Board reviewed several RFPs and, at its meeting on February 9, 2023, announced that it has retained the search firm Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates (HYA). The district has engaged this firm in the past and, after review of several proposals, agreed to retain them for this next engagement. We believe that their familiarity with our district and past experience here will contribute to a successful collaboration. The Board is working with HYA to quickly determine next steps, which include agreeing to and posting a timeline with additional information and key dates in the search process.
We will continue to share updates on the status of the search during the BoE meetings and on this page. Please don't hesitate to reach out to board members with any additional questions or concerns.
