The Office of Curriculum & Instruction in the Tarrytown Union Free School District is dedicated to providing resources, guidance and academic opportunities so that all students will meet and exceed the New York State Learning Standards.
Through collaborating with the district's professional staff, professional development initiatives will be created which will focus on maximizing student potential, learning and growth while focusing on the social-emotional/academic needs of all learners so that our students can be successful in a global society. The mission statement below guides these efforts:
The mission of the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns is to empower students to make informed choices and assume responsibility for their own actions as they become self-directed, lifelong learners who are committed and able contributors to a sustainable local and global society. In partnership with our diverse community, we promote continuous growth through active engagement in a personalized learning environment characterized by high expectations and academic rigor in a climate of collaboration and mutual respect.
