  • National Junior Honor Society Induction Ceremony & Eighth Grade Awards Night

    Emily Clayton volunteered her time with the Midnight Run, Samantha Poy helped clean up Tibbetts Brook in Yonkers and Isabella Levine mentored students in the Nature Girls Program. These are just some of the service projects that Sleepy Hollow Middle School students carried out this school year as members of the National Junior Honor Society. On June 20, they shared their experiences with the community as they inducted approximately 15 sixth-graders into the organization.

  • Sleepy Hollow Students Create Word Search Puzzle With World Famous Puzzle Maker

    As sixth-graders in Kirk Dietz class sat in their classroom with a Smartboard on June 14, David L. Hoyt, the “World’s Most Syndicated Puzzle Maker,” collaborated with them 800 miles away from Chicago. The Sleepy Hollow Middle School students and Hoyt developed a puzzle that will be featured in Hoyt’s Word Search Word Traveler app this Monday, June 17. The game is played in more than 100 countries around the world.
