The 6th grade Red Hot Chili Peppers team (Dietz, Strippoli, Sciullo, and Yepes) had a homeroom war competition during FLEX period on Friday. This competition involved classes racing to finish and solve a Jumble Championship puzzle (thanks David L. Hoyt). The winning team got the distinction of hanging the team mascot, a giant, inflatable chili pepper on their door. This activity promoted problem-solving and took a cooperative, sustained effort to complete. The winning class finished the puzzle in just under 35 minutes and could be heard celebrating down the hallway. We all can't wait to do this again!
