Third Grade Artists Have Been Busy in the Art Room!
Paul Klee,(1879-1940), is difficult to classify. He was really too original to be associated with any artistic movement. He created thousands of exquisite drawings and prints, and delicate paintings of mixed media. His work was characterized by (deceptively) simple looking use of line, shape, color, wit and an often child-like view of subjects. The third grade started the year by creating their own cats after studying Klee’s painting, Cat and Bird (1928).
