W.L. Morse Elementary School hosted a pop-up museum in April to bring the local history of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow to life as our students study our community's past.
John Predovan of Beekman Vintage generously loaned our school antiques from Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown.Ms. Sansky, district speech-language pathologist, added items from further away.
Students learned about the manufacturing history of the villages and discussed the packaging and transport of goods before the invention of plastic. They were also able to see products from the past made by companies that are still in business today, like Ball Mason Jars, Kodak, and Goldberg Hardware on Main Street in Tarrytown.
