Lights, camera, action! Third graders from Ms. Sullivan and Ms. Leveille’s classes visited the Jacob Burns Film Center and began to think like filmmakers! Students viewed two short films and discussed different “shots” the filmmakers used to tell their story. Students then did some acting of their own! In groups they acted out an emotion without using words while the other students tried to guess what they were doing. Students ended the day by discussing things they love and how they would show this to an audience if they were a filmmaker. Very fitting as it was Valentine’s Day! Students enjoyed their day at Jacob Burns Film Center, especially the popcorn!
