Communication Needs Classrooms Make Gingerbread Houses
The students in the Communication Needs Classrooms spent a fun filled afternoon Friday with old friends and past teachers making holiday crafts. The activities were held at Washington Irving School where old friendships were rekindled, new ones started, and community was built. The students in Mrs. Campana (WI), Ms. Castellanta and Mrs. Costa (JP), Ms. Whelan and Ms. Castillo's (SHMS) had the opportunity to make gingerbread houses, paint holiday window decor, color winter scenes, and even were able to color a life size gingerbread house! The students were happy to visit their old school or to see the school they will be attending in the future. A good time was had by all!
