Cluster Zone Update 11/18/2020

Dear TUFSD Families and Staff,

Governor Cuomo recently implemented a cluster zone strategy that identifies areas with rising infection rates and places restrictions designed to limit the spread of Covid 19. These areas can be designated as Yellow, Orange, or Red based upon the metrics outlined in the chart below:

Designation as a Yellow, Orange, or Red cluster zone affects many elements of community life and would impact our schools in the following ways:

We remain committed to keeping our schools open for in-person instruction as long as it is safe, but felt it was important to share this information as the active cases in our villages increase. We will continue to take all necessary precautions in our schools and implore everyone to practice the “Big Three”: wear a mask, wash/sanitize your hands, and practice social distancing.  We will also continue to collaborate with the Westchester County Department of Health and monitor the daily information shared by the Governor and New York State Department of Health.

Thank you for your continued support.  We will share any additional updates as they become available.

Sincerely,

Christopher Borsari
Superintendent
