Message from the Superintendent
January 4, 2021
Dear TUFSD Families & Staff,
Happy New Year! I hope you and your families enjoyed the holidays and the extended recess. While the schools were closed, a number of employees and students reported positive COVID-19 test results to the District. The District has notified the Westchester County Department of Health who is responsible for contact tracing. As we were on break, the exposures were limited to employees and all potential exposures were notified by Mr. Dorn’s office. The cases reported over the break were as follows:
- 2 District Office employees
- 2 John Paulding employees
- 1 Sleepy Hollow Middle School employee
- 1 John Paulding student
- 1 Sleepy Hollow High School student
Although you are probably aware, I also wanted to inform you that on December 26th, the New York State Department of Health revised the mandatory quarantine requirements for people who have been exposed to someone with COVID-19. Previously, the required quarantine period was 14 days; now, the required quarantine period is 10 days as long no symptoms develop. More details regarding the revised quarantine period can be found here.
Should you have any questions, please contact Mr. Dorn at 914-332-6253.
Sincerely,
Christopher Borsari
Superintendent
