We are happy to announce that the Westchester County Department of Health in collaboration with The Public Schools of the Tarrytowns will be hosting two COVID-19 vaccination clinics for our students ages 5 -11, as follows:
Location: Sleepy Hollow Middle School Gym
Dates:Monday, November 29th from 3:30pm – 7:30pm
Tuesday, November 30th from 3:30pm – 7:30 pm
The vaccine is free to families. If you would like your child(ren) to receive a COVID-19 vaccination, you will need to make an appointment using the link below to register. Walk-ins will not be accepted. If you need help to sign-up, please call Lisa Giannalone, Nurse Coordinator at 914-631-4064.
A parent or legal guardian MUST be present with the student to receive the vaccine. You will also need to come back three weeks after the first appointment for the second dose to complete the vaccination.
After the vaccine is given, the student will be required to remain for at least 15 minutes to be watched for any potential allergic reactions. Persons with a history of allergies will be required to stay for a minimum of 30 minutes.
For questions about the vaccine, we encourage you to speak with your healthcare provider. Attached are answers to frequently asked questions. The Westchester County Department of Health will have clinicians’ available onsite to answer any remaining questions.
If you are interested, please register as soon as possible as there are a limited number of appointments.
These sessions are only for students of The Public Schools of the Tarrytowns, so please do not forward to others.
