7th Graders Plant Daffodil Bulbs As Part of Sustainability Project
As part of our ongoing conversations about Sustainability, our 7th graders were given 14 daffodil bulbs to go home last weekend for planting.
Students who didn't have a good location to plant them or didn't want to participate for any reason were given the option to donate them to the school (re-collected) for planting around our property/community.
The goal of this initiative is to help bring a sense of "CARING" and awareness of nature to the students and community at large. Each one of us can have our own small impact on the world, and this past week, our 7th graders were able to help see that impact first-hand.
A special THANK YOU to Westover landscaping for the bulb donation! Also, many thanks to Mr. Garguilo for organizing this initiative, and to our amazing National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) students, who helped package the bulbs for distribution.
