Superintendent's Update: January 20, 2023

January 20, 2023

Dear TUFSD Families and Staff:

It’s been another busy and exciting week here in the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns - and it's hard to believe that we are approaching the midpoint in our academic calendar. With that comes midterms for our high school students next week and the end of the first semester.  We encourage students to take advantage of review opportunities and to speak with a teacher or guidance counselor if they need some extra support.

We’re also thrilled to have had our Washington Irving band, chorus, and orchestra students perform in their Winter Concert last evening and to have our Sleepy Hollow Middle School students taking the stage this weekend for their production of Peter Pan. It’s amazing to see the dedication and talent of these students, on stage and in the crew. I want to congratulate and thank all those involved in this production, including the many high school students who volunteered their time to assist throughout rehearsals and the performances. This is a great example of how our students grow and support each other here in our schools. See below for show times and information.

Following are a number of important updates and information about the coming weeks:

They are seeking both people to apply who need assistance, as well as volunteers.  Please see this link for additional information.
