Peabody Preserve Outdoor Classroom: A Classroom Without Any Walls

Two and a half years ago, Oscar Pak, then a freshman at Sleepy Hollow High School, began documenting the natural beauty of the Peabody Preserve Outdoor Classroom (PPOC), the collaboration of the community and school district as we worked to build and maintain the site, and its utilization by teachers and students as they visited and explored their outdoor classroom. Now, as a junior, Oscar has completed this documentary. He worked countless hours combining his talent in photography and video production to produce an informative and inspiring video story.

Please take a moment to watch the story of how your Peabody Preserve Outdoor Classroom came to be and how it is helping students and teachers to engage in unique learning experiences in the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns.
